** About the Role
** This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Mentor and guide juniors, assist software engineering leads with technical solutions and designs.
** Responsibilities
* ** Release management inclusive of sign off for a well-formed test plan, rollback plan communication plan and release notes.
* Resource management inclusive of administrative duties such as time and attendance, resource planning, performance management, 1 on 1 chats and career development.
* Project management duties such as agile ceremonies, backlog refinement and business engagement.
* Technical leadership in solution design, technical implementation, output quality and coaching of team members in accordance with software engineering best practices and design patterns.
* Owning the team strategy for future proofing, maintenance and improvement. This consists of the technical, operational and resource level plans.
* Support management of queries escalated to the development team
* Implementation (writing code, automation tests and devops activities), complex technical specifications and review of new features, enhancements and bug fixes.

** Requirements
* ** At least 3 years serving as a senior software engineer or solutions architect, mentoring intermediate and or junior software engineers, having 7 years professional experience in the technology sector.
* A good understanding of SOLID principles and industry best practices
* Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation, dot net, C#, Angular, Cypress, Playwright, Python, experience with GIT and Azure pipelines.
* Good communication skills, written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex content to a range of audiences
* Emotional intelligence and a good understanding of team dynamics
* Established organization, planning and change management skills
* Able to uphold ethics and promote a culture of honesty, accountability and general camaraderie
