As a Speciality Care Medical Sales Representative, you will drive sales performance across our portfolio within both the Private and Government healthcare sectors. You will engage closely with key specialists, including Haematologists, Neurologists, Pulmonologists, Rheumatologists, Physicians, Immunologists, Pediatric Pulmonologists, and Renal units to grow market share and support strategic launches.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building meaningful clinical relationships, understands the complexities of the healthcare landscape, and is passionate about delivering business results.
What you'll do- Manage the Kwa Zulu‑Natal region (mainline + coastal)
- Build strong relationships with targeted specialists and key opinion leaders
- Achieve sales KPIs: coverage, frequency, call rate, and in‑field presence
- Drive execution of product launches and ongoing brand promotion
- Collaborate with Medical Science Liaison and cross‑functional teams
- Conduct product training and market education sessions
- Provide accurate market, competitor, and customer insights
- Maintain an up‑to‑date customer list and CRM compliance
- Execute the Sales Action Plan with weekly reporting and insights
- Ensure full compliance with company SOPs and industry regulations
- 3+ years’ experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative
- Proven ability to engage with specialists across key therapeutic areas
- Strong understanding of private and government healthcare systems in SA
- Prior specialist detailing experience is a strong advantage
- Tertiary qualification in Health Sciences or related field (degree preferred)
- Strong clinical aptitude and quick learning ability
- Strategic selling & stakeholder management
- High EQ, professionalism, and strong organizational skills
- Relationship‑building and customer‑centric mindset
- Ability to navigate complex decision‑making structures
