OBJECTIVE: To develop tailored marketing plans, which will be aligned with our Brand Strategies. To unpack cycle activity plans with the Commercial team, with key focus on growing our luxury portfolio in strategic accounts & geo-location - focusing on growing the On Trade & Off Trade channel for the business.

The Key KPA’s for this role include (but not limited to): 1.

Commercial Brand Strategic Implementation
  • SMART objectives, based on brand cycle plan
  • Work closely with Brand teams to translate brand strategy and platform into commercial brand standards & tactical guidelines, including guiding principles for distribution and activations by channel or subchannel
  • Amend plans and budget allocations, based on evolving market/customer and competitor dynamics or brand strategic changes
  • Work with the Commercial Planning & Activations Manager in accessing commercial data to measure ROI and execution run rate
  • Support implementation of brand activations and merchandising strategies by commercial team
  • Update a weekly tracker with the timelines for on-trade and off-trade plans i.e., visibility and activity budget tracker
  • Develop an expert knowledge of competitive market activity to build plans with competitive advantage
2. Brand Execution Excellence
  • Analyze trade data in order to tailor plan executions
  • Assist to build brand equity through world class execution, by providing appropriate tools for the right channel
  • Ensure availability, visibility, point of sale and consumer experience to achieve excellent brand execution
  • Plan and execute all off-trade execution (PDU’s) and on-trade visibility with a library
3. Relationship Management
  • Constant communication and efficient feedback with internal and external (customers, agencies, staff and suppliers)
  • Attend weekly commercial meetings, share trade insights and unlock opportunities, by collaborating with the commercial team
  • Build effective working relationships with the commercial team, support cycle planned activities and align with execution expectations
  • Support the commercial team with crucial trade relationships
4. Brand Management & Reporting
  • Annual budget planning and monthly tracker for your region
  • Allocate commercial teams’ budget in advance, with KPIs and expectations for investment, managing ROI
  • Assess activity in pivot before approval i.e., right brand for the occasion and volume strategy
  • Report on trade commercial and competitor activity feedback
  • Analyze data sources such as Data Orbis, Qlik View and account data to derive necessary consumer and customer insights in order to provide suitable commercial and marketing solutions
5. Manage Implementation, Procurement of POSM, Promo Material & Event Support
  • Capture POSM by account and quantity
  • Audit event POSM with stakeholders on a quarterly basis
Requirements and

Qualifications:
  • 3-Year Relevant Qualification Preferable
  • At least five (5) Years Relevant Experience (experience within the liquor industry, preferable)
  • Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word Skills and PowerPoint Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and think on your feet
  • Highly organized - able to manage complexities and multitask
  • Good processes for prioritization of tasks
  • High attention to details and excellence
  • Starter-finisher approach
