We are looking for a New business Developer to join their team.
About the RoleOur client is seeking a driven and results-focused New Business Developer to accelerate their growth by identifying, engaging, and converting new B2B opportunities. This role is heavily focused on cold calling, proactive outreach, and building a high-quality sales pipeline. You will be responsible for opening doors with decision-makers, understanding their business challenges, and positioning our technology and business solutions to generate qualified opportunities.
This is a hands‑on new business role suited to someone who enjoys prospecting, starting conversations, and creating momentum.
New Business Development & Cold Calling
- Proactively identify and contact potential clients through market research, networking, and strategic outreach to expand our client base.
- Build, manage, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through consistent outreach and follow‑up.
- Identify and research high‑value potential clients across different industries, focusing on those who would benefit most from our solutions.
- Engage with potential clients to understand their business challenges and objectives, proposing appropriate technology solutions that address their needs.
- Junior level:
Assess business needs and ensure alignment with our services. - Senior level:
Generate, qualify, and manage opportunities end‑to‑end following onboarding and shadowing, including leading client appointments and driving engagements forward.
- Secure meetings and progress opportunities through the early stages of the sales cycle.
- Accurately record all activities, conversations, and pipeline progress in the CRM.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to refine messaging and improve conversion rates.
- Experience:
1–5 years experience in business development, cold calling, lead generation, or B2B sales. - Sales
Skills:
Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a consultative approach to sales. - Business Acumen:
Strong understanding of business operations, industry challenges, and the ability to align solutions with client needs. - Communication
Skills:
Confident, clear, and persuasive communicator, particularly over the phone. - Tech‑Savvy:
Passion for technology, business process automation, and Microsoft 365 solutions. - Resilience & Drive: A motivated self‑starter who thrives on uncovering opportunities and driving meaningful conversations.
- Salary: R15000 – R30000 CTC (depending on experience)
