Connected Store is our class-leading digital experience for next-gen retail. Our unique network consists of thousands of intelligent digital in-store touch-points powered by our robust cloud platform. We design, build and install these digital touch-points and measure customer interaction, digital assets and media content via our cloud platform.

Role Description 1.1 Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage and control the movement of stock in and out of the stores efficiently and safely, ensuring minimal stock variances and optimal stock management.

1.2 Core Responsibilities Stock Control
  • Implement and maintain control measures on all stock items.
  • Ensure requisitions are processed accurately and timely to prevent delivery delays to internal clients.
  • Accurately receive goods to prevent discrepancies in quantities and prices.
  • Conduct bi-annual and annual stock counts, reporting results accurately to the Procurement and Costing Manager.
  • Maintain stock control by ensuring proper issuing and usage of materials.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for stock handling, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Implement cycle counting procedures to continuously monitor inventory accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Conduct regular reviews of inventory turnover rates to identify slow-moving or obsolete items and take appropriate action.
Operational Management
  • Monitor employee attendance and ensure adherence to workplace policies.
  • Foster sound industrial relations and maintain employee morale.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies within the Stores environment.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor store staff to enhance their skills and performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Supply Chain Coordination
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure alignment on stock requirements and order fulfillment.
Lean Principles and Waste Reduction
  • Apply lean management principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste, ensuring maximum value with minimal resources.
  • Utilize the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Identify and eliminate non-value-adding activities to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste throughout the stores operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee participation in identifying and implementing waste reduction strategies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Handle ad-hoc requests from management, including participation in special projects as needed.
1.3 Minimum Experience, Requirements & Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Stores environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Understanding of distribution and production processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer literacy (e.g., Inventory management software, Google suites, MS Office).
  • Ability to follow instructions and execute tasks efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree in Warehouse Management or a related field.
