Position: Production Manager – Packaging Manufacturing – R700K – R600K
Overview
Hire Resolve’s client in Packaging Manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Production Manager to join their team in Kwa Zulu-Natal. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and making sure that production lines run without any issues and/or minimal downtime. The successful candidate must have an eagerness to work dynamically, demonstrate expertise in management systems, and develop solutions to maintain the quality of processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System that aligns with industry best practices and applicable regulationsEnsure compliance with relevant quality standards, or other industry-specific certificationsLead and mentor a team of quality assurance analysts and specialistsSet performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluationFoster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and developmentEnsure that Warranty Cost & Service call Rate Targets are met as per Objectives and TargetsEstablish and execute quality control processes, including product inspection, testing, and validationImplement effective quality control procedures to identify and address defects or deviations from specificationsContinuously review and improve existing quality assurance processes to enhance efficiency and effectivenessWork strongly with Cross Functional Manufacturing Teams in ensuring Scrap limits are not exceededIdentify root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actionsCollaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirementsLead quality audits, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on identified non-conformitiesAssess potential risks related to product quality, safety, and regulatory complianceDevelop and implement risk mitigation plans to prevent quality-related issuesConduct training programs to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and best practicesEnsure that the workforce is knowledgeable and compliant with quality-related policies and proceduresAnalyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and report findings to senior managementInculcate and drive continued efforts in ensuring a culture built on the 6 Sigma methodologyGenerate regular quality assurance reports to track performance and communicate resultsCollaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality criteriaMonitor and assess supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality or related fieldExperience in Quality Assurance SystemsStrong knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsCertification in quality management
