Job Summary
The Control Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth operation of control room activities, supervising junior operators, and managing critical operational systems in real time. This role requires expert knowledge of control systems, troubleshooting, incident management, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The Senior Control Room Operator leads by example, ensuring the team effectively responds to alarms, operational issues, and emergencies.
The position is key in coordinating operations across various teams and ensuring the continuous safe operation of complex systems.
- Supervision & Leadership:
Lead and guide a team of Control Room Operators, ensuring they adhere to operational procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. Provide training, mentorship, and support to junior operators. - Advanced System Monitoring:
Oversee the monitoring of complex systems, equipment, and alarms, ensuring continuous operation and addressing issues before they escalat. Take proactive steps to identify and resolve potential problems. - Incident Management:
Lead responses to alarms, system failures, and emergencies. Evaluate issues quickly, make critical decisions, and direct the team to ensure swift and effective resolution. Ensure escalation to relevant departments or management when necessary. - Operational Coordination:
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and effective operation across the facility or service. Facilitate communication between shifts to ensure clear handovers and continuity. - Data Analysis & Reporting:
Oversee the collection and analysis of operational data. Prepare and present detailed reports on performance metrics, incidents, system health, and compliance status. Provide recommendations for improvements based on trends and insights. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Lead safety drills, audits, and review processes to ensure a safe working environment. - Procedure Development & Improvement:
Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of control room procedures, emergency protocols, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and safety. - Training & Development:
Lead training sessions for new and existing staff on control room systems, emergency procedures, and operational best practices. Ensure the team is up to date with the latest procedures and technologies. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure operational efficiency by conducting regular reviews of systems, workflows, and procedures. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize control room operations. - Shift Supervision:
Manage and coordinate shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and continuity of operations. Ensure shift changes are seamless and all relevant information is handed over efficiently.

ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of experience in a control room, operations monitoring, or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior operator role. Experience in industries such as energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, or utilities is highly desirable.

Advanced knowledge of control systems, monitoring software, and operational technologies. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex operational issues. - Leadership

Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, providing guidance, feedback, and performance management. Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities. - Communication

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other departments. - Problem-solving:

Strong ability to monitor multiple systems, recognize irregularities, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. - Project Management:
Experience managing or contributing to operational improvement projects, system upgrades, or process optimization initiatives.
