- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., VLANs, DNS, IP addressing).
- Proficiency in using monitoring and management tools for Azure and Hyper-V environments.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support or a related field (internships or hands-on lab experience in Azure or Hyper-V are acceptable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Team-oriented mindset with a customer-centric approach.
- Monitor and maintain Hyper-V and Azure virtual machines (VMs) to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Assist in provisioning, configuring, and deploying VMs and virtual networks in Azure and Hyper-V environments.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of virtual environments and escalate complex issues as required.
- Monitor system health, resource utilization, and performance metrics using Azure Monitor, Hyper-V tools, and other monitoring platforms.
- Generate routine performance and status reports.
- Identify potential issues and recommend optimizations.
- Respond to Level 1 incidents and service requests related to Azure and Hyper-V environments.
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately in the service management system.
- Collaborate with Level 2/3 teams to resolve complex issues.
- Assist in configuring and managing backups for VMs and critical data using Azure Backup and Hyper-V tools.
- Support recovery operations in disaster recovery scenarios under supervision.
- Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to Hyper-V hosts and Azure resources as per established schedules and guidelines.
- Participate in routine maintenance activities to ensure system reliability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for processes and configurations.
- Provide basic guidance and support to end-users or other team members regarding Azure and Hyper-V environments.
