Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in Steel manufacturing industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Project and Engineering Manager to join their team in Durban.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Project and Engineering departments.
  • Manage to ensure that projects are delivered; without injuries or breach of HSE rules a regulations, on-time, as per scope/specification, to high quality standards, within budget.
  • Manage the Project and Engineering teams and provide performance feedback and goal-setting; conducts annual performance reviews and skills development and training.
  • Further requirements include technical assistance/audits and marketing of products and services to the client

    • Requirements:

  • Degree or qualification in project and/or engineering management.
  • ECSA registration advantageous.
  • 5 Years’ practical experience in the projects/engineering management fields.
  • 2 Years’ experience in an aluminium / manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge of equipment used in aluminium industry.
  • Proven working experience in project and/or engineering management and organisational skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Projects.
  • Strong financial comprehension pertaining to budgets and job costing.
  • Good understanding of principles of health, safety, environmental and quality in the workplace.
