Overview

Description

Our client, a leading construction company in Durban, is seeking a Construction Manager to join their team.

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the progress of construction projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work closely with the project team to ensure quality standards are met, deadlines are achieved, and budgets are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate resources, equipment, and materials needed for the projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors
  • Prepare reports and documentation for project updates and analysis

    • Requirements

  • Registered with PIM & PPM
  • SACPMP Registered
  • Mechanical, piping, structural steel experience. Installations of heat exchangers and pressurised equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Construction Manager
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Liase with clients
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
