Accounts Receivable Controller

SUMMARY

Full Debtors function, while also supporting the broader finance department with creditors and general accounting duties.

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3 years’ experience in accounts / debtors / creditors role
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Portuguese language proficiency advantageous (not essential)

• Allocate customer payments accurately to debtor accounts
• Monitor outstanding balances and conduct credit control
• Follow up on overdue accounts and assist with collections
• Reconcile debtor accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Liaise with the internal team regarding account queries

• Process supplier invoices with correct coding and authorisation
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
• Prepare supplier payments (EFT’s / electronic platforms)
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  
  Maintain accurate creditor records and filing systems
• Liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Capture journals and assist with reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records for audit purposes
• Provide ad hoc reporting and administrative support
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
