Bookkeeper – Riverhorse Valley, Durban

Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to maintain their accounting records using Xero accounting software. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bookkeeping functions across multiple entities within the group.

• Capture and process sales invoices accurately and timeously
• Maintain and reconcile cashbooks
• Process and reconcile supplier accounts
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded in Xero

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation
• Assist in maintaining financial controls and procedures

• Prepare monthly management reports for all four entities
• Prepare monthly cash flow projections
• Assist management with financial insights and reporting requirements
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors where required

• Maintain and manage company insurance policies
• Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements
• Assist with year-end financial preparation

• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
• Proven experience in a bookkeeping role (preferably 3–5 years)
• Experience managing accounts for multiple entities
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software (essential)
• Strong reconciliation and reporting experience
