The SAICA Accountant Traineeship is a 3‑year training contract. It equips trainees with the SAICA competencies required to pass the APC qualification and register as a Chartered Accountant. Trainees will work in the BDO Audit division, gaining generalist expertise across a broad range of commercial sectors.

• Work in a fast‑paced audit environment to deliver exceptional client service
• Participate in audit engagements from the day you join, applying technical audit procedures and professional judgment
• Collaborate with team members and management to support client engagements and achieve project objectives
• Document work accurately and convey findings clearly to clients and team members
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and quality standards

• Honours / PGDA / CTA or equivalent level qualification from a SAICA recognised university

• Keen willingness to learn and bring energy and aspiration to the audit team
• Strong technical ability in audit and financial report preparation
• High level of attention to detail and strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to relate to clients and understand their business context
• Application of sound professional judgment in all tasks
