Stuteville Chevrolet of Durant is seeking a motivated Lube & Tire Technician to maintain and service customers' vehicles in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all safety procedures and practices. The Lube & Tire Technician's responsibilities include preparing detailed vehicle service reports, changing motor oil, transmission, and brake fluid as needed, repairing and maintaining tires, and replacing other maintenance items as needed.

You should also be able to keep vehicle interiors clean while performing maintenance and servicing tasks.

Lube & Tire Technician Responsibilities:
  • Apply lubricants to the moving parts of vehicle engines to prevent premature engine wear and ensure optimal engine performance.
  • Replace cabin, fuel, air, and oil filters as required.
  • Install and balance tire/wheel assemblies weighing up to 75 lbs with lifting assistance.
  • Check tire wear patterns.
  • Perform tire rotations to ensure even tire wear.
  • Test tire pressure and add air as needed.
  • Conduct maintenance on or install new TPMS systems.
  • Thoroughly inspect customers' vehicles for oil leaks.
  • Make recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections.
  • Notify the Service Advisor when vehicle maintenance or servicing cannot be completed within the scheduled time frames.
  • Drive vehicles into and out of the service areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote store sales.
Lube & Tire Technician Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in automotive maintenance and repair preferred.
  • Experience in tire service preferred.
  • Knowledge of tire sizes and applications is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
