Veterinary Extern - General Practice

An externship experience at an NVA hospital offers students a unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice and gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. While each NVA hospital has its own characteristics, all share a supportive environment committed to excellent medicine and providing exceptional service to animals and their owners.

The externship duration typically ranges from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules. All DVM students, regardless of their class year, are encouraged to participate in NVA externships at Riverview Animal Hospital.
