Coral Shores Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is a beautiful, 80‑bed adolescent and adult Baker Act receiving facility, which is located in sunny Stuart, Florida. Shifts:
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays/Weekends.
The Maintenance Technician will perform basic and routine preventative maintenance including installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in facilities. Tasks include visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, listening for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions, dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts, cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts as needed, installing and repairing minor plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets and valves, installing and repairing minor electrical fixtures such as outlets, switches and ballasts, repairing and maintaining the physical structure of campus facilities, fabricating and repairing doors, benches, partitions, shelves and other wooden structures, inspecting, maintaining records and providing minor service to facility vehicles, maintaining lawn equipment, performing water treatment and maintaining data records as required, and performing other duties as assigned.
The Technician will consistently demonstrate all Service Excellence Standards and Principles.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years’ comparable experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.
