Responsibilities
Coral Shores Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is a beautiful, 80‑bed adolescent and adult Baker Act receiving facility located in sunny Stuart, Florida. Our professional staff provide high‑quality, individualized care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each patient’s needs and offer a continuum of mental health and addiction services in a confidential, caring environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self‑awareness, personal growth and problem‑solving.
Coral Shores is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Activities Therapist is responsible for the delivery of expressive therapy interventions, including music, art and recreation to increase patients’ self‑confidence and socialization; teaches patients appropriate identification and release of emotion, problem‑solving, productive and healthy physical activity and coping skills that can be carried over after discharge; and ensures timely and accurate documentation in patient charts.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with specialized skills development (e.g., recreational, art, music, etc.).
- Two (2) years of experience in hospital/psychiatric/mental health or special developmental needs setting.
- Certification or registration in area of expertise or certification a plus.
