Position Overview

The Accounting Services Leader is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of a real estate brokerage. This role works closely with ownership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support efficient brokerage operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes ownership of financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities Accounting and Financial Management
  • Lead all accounting functions including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Manage month end and year end close processes, audit preparation, and CPA coordination
  • Oversee accounts payable, vendor management, internal controls, and trust and operating accounts
  • Maintain accounting system accuracy and support commission and transaction accounting
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to ownership
Brokerage Financial Operations and Commission Oversight
  • Oversee brokerage transaction accounting and commission workflows
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of closings and commission disbursements
  • Maintain reporting systems supporting agent production and ownership review
Payroll and Employee Administration Support
  • Support employee onboarding paperwork and benefits coordination
  • Coordinate payroll through an outsourced provider and ensure accuracy and timeliness
Insurance and Compliance
  • Manage brokerage insurance policies including errors and omissions, general liability, workers compensation, and property coverage
  • Coordinate renewals, claims, certificates of insurance, and compliance documentation
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Real estate brokerage accounting experience
  • Experience with commission based financial structures
Compensation

$70,000 to $90,000 per year
