Senior Environmental Scientist / Engineer (Oil & Gas Remediation)
I'm currently supporting a boutique environmental consulting firm with an established remediation practice supporting the energy sector across the Southern US.
Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are looking to add a Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer (approximately 6 to 12 years’ experience) to their team in Durango, Colorado
.
This role focuses on soil and groundwater remediation projects tied to oil and gas operations
, working within a fast paced consulting environment across the Four Corners region.
- Manage soil and groundwater remediation projects primarily for oil and gas clients
- Support spill response and corrective action work following releases
- Coordinate field teams and provide technical guidance on project execution
- Manage scopes of work, project budgets, and timelines
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously in a high pace consulting environment
Projects range from complex groundwater remediation sites to high volume spill response work
, so strong project management and prioritisation skills are important.
- 6 to 12 years of environmental consulting experience
- Strong background in soil and groundwater remediation
- Experience supporting oil and gas remediation or spill response projects
- Experience working within New Mexico oil and gas regulatory frameworks is essential
- Experience with Colorado regulations is a major plus
- Strong technical and project management capabilities
- PG or PE licenses are welcome but not required
