Assistant Football Coach, Miller Middle School

Overview

Durango School District 9-R is hiring an Assistant Football Coach at Miller Middle School to begin the 2024/2025 school year. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and
8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of football. Practice begins in early August 2026.

• Instruct middle school students (grades 7 and
  8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of football.

• Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of football
• Ability to build rapport with middle school students
• Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
• Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
• Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
• Ability to work positively with coaches, staff, and administration
• Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
