Track Coach Specialist, Miller Middle School

Durango School District 9-R ishiring aTrack Specialist at Coach for Miller Middle School for the 2025/2026 Season. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and
8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of Track and Field. Begins March 2026 - May 2026.

• Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of Track and Field
• Ability to build rapport with middle school students
• Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
• Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
• Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
• Ability to work positively with coaches, staff, and administration
• Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
