Fractional Strategic Finance Lead; Energy Infrastructure

About the Role

We’re building in the natural gas and biomass energy infrastructure space and need a sharp, execution-focused finance operator to step in and bring structure where it’s currently missing.

This is a fractional / consulting role for someone who has actually financed energy infrastructure projects before – not just modeled them in theory. You’ll work closely with leadership to tighten up our financial foundation, strengthen investor readiness, and bring clarity to project-level economics.

We’re looking for someone who can think strategically but execute practically.

This engagement begins with a one-month trial period.

You’ll fill the gaps across finance, capital structuring, and strategic positioning. Specifically:

Project & Customer Financial Modeling

• Build clear, defensible customer-facing ROI models
• Develop detailed project-level pro forma financials
• Run sensitivity and scenario analysis tied to real-world infrastructure risks

Investor-Ready Financials

• Create investor-grade pro forma models (debt + equity)
• Prepare financial materials for fundraising and diligence
• Stress-test assumptions before they reach investors

Historical Financials & Tax

• Organize and clean up historical financial data
• Oversee preparation of tax filings
• Ensure financial reporting is structured and credible

SPV & Holding Company Structuring

• Advise on and structure SPVs for infrastructure projects
• Support holdco-level financial clarity and consolidation
• Ensure structures are finance-ready and scalable

Strategy & Offer Development

• Contribute to commercial strategy and offer creation
• Align financial structure with long-term infrastructure rollout
• Help translate vision into bankable numbers

You’ve:

• Worked on natural gas and/or biomass infrastructure financing
• Built real project finance models tied to actual capital raises
• Structured or advised on SPVs and holding companies
• Supported infrastructure projects through investor conversations
• Operated in early-stage or growth-stage environments

You’re comfortable stepping into ambiguity and bringing order quickly.
