Days Per Year: 183 + additional 12 days (per diem) to be scheduled to meet needs of start and end of school year.
Location: Chloe Clark Elementary
Base Salary: $120,800 - $138,751

Chloe Clark Elementary School is seeking a caring and collaborative Dean of Students to support a positive, welcoming school environment for our youngest learners. In this role, you will work alongside staff and families to support student behavior, strengthen relationships, and help every child feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, consistency, and helping every child build confidence and succeed.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills- Valid Washington State Elementary (K-12) School Administrative credentials.
- Three to five (3-5) successful years teaching experience.
- Ability to create a safe, orderly, positive school climate for students and staff.
- Demonstrates successful experience in shared decision-making, program development, staff supervision, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience providing job-embedded supports for teachers.
- Ability to create a safe, orderly, positive school climate for students and staff.
- Ability to foster growth, creativity, and flexibility using a variety of techniques.
- Ability to facilitate resolution of complex interpersonal issues.
- Demonstrates successful experience in shared decision-making, program development, staff supervision, and evaluation.
- Knowledge about laws, rules, and regulations governing the operation of public schools.
- Proficient in understanding and implementing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) strategies to foster positive relationships, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster growth, creativity, and flexibility using a variety of techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and responsiveness to inquiries, concerns, and feedback, while fostering a visible presence within the school community through regular attendance at events.
- Ability to react in emergencies to include intervening and, as necessary consistent with District policy, restraining students.
- Ability to maintain regular, in-person physical presence at the assigned work location during scheduled work hours.
- Elementary administrative experience preferred.
- Training or experience with Right Response or desire to be trained.
- Experience implementing tiered intervention programs.
