Overview

Solution Architect – Business Intelligence & AI‑Driven Analytics (Power BI, Tableau)

About this role

This role centers on architecting modern, AIaugmented Business Intelligence solutions with Power BI and Tableau to deliver trusted, actionable insights and predictive signals to decision makers. You will sit at the intersection of business and data/ML platform teams, shaping semantic models, defining KPIs and features, and designing intuitive, high impact analytics and decisionintelligence experiences.

As a BI Solution Architect within the Data & AI Solutions Team, you will lead clients from requirements and KPI definition through production ready dashboards, governed self service analytics, and integrated ML/GenAI insights. You will combine deep handson expertise in Power BI/Tableau with strong storytelling and advisory skills, helping organizations make better, faster decisions and selectively apply AI features-such as natural language, automated narratives, and predictive indicators-that enhance insight consumption and business value.

You will also help shape and refine our analytics and BI offerings by standardizing KPI and feature frameworks, dashboard patterns, and enablement assets that can be reused across clients.

What you’ll do
  • Lead BI and decisionintelligence strategy and current state assessments, and define target state architecture for reporting, advanced analytics, and self service experiences.
  • Design semantic models and datasets in Power BI and Tableau, including dimensional modeling, KPI and feature definitions, and rowlevel security to support ML and AIdriven use cases.
  • Collaborate with data and ML platform architects to ensure warehouses, lake houses, and feature stores are structured for BI performance, trustworthy metrics, and downstream AI consumption.
  • Create and review executive dashboards, operational reports, and reusable data sets that surface descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights.
  • Introduce practical AI capabilities such as natural language query, automated narratives, anomaly detection, and embedded ML/LLM outputs where supported by the BI stack.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops and design sessions with business stakeholders; translate their questions and decisions into metrics, features, visuals, and navigation flows.
  • Support deal cycles by scoping BI and analytics work, building AI enhanced demo dashboards, and contributing to proposals, estimates, and value cases.
  • Define and promote BI and analytics governance practices, standards, and documentation, including KPI/feature catalogs, semantic models, and report certification processes.
  • Guide delivery teams through design reviews, performance tuning, modeltodashboard integration, and testing to ensure solutions meet usability and performance SLAs.
  • Provide mentoring and best practice guidance to BI developers, analysts, and power users on advanced analytics, data storytelling, and responsible use of AIdriven insights.
  • Shape and refine our analytics and BI offerings by standardizing KPI and feature frameworks, dashboard patterns, and enablement assets that can be reused across clients.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • 6+ years in BI, analytics, or data warehousing roles working with business stakeholders in enterprise environments.
  • Advanced, handson expertise with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, RLS/OLS, workspace management, and governance.
  • Strong experience with Tableau (or a comparable enterprise BI tool), including calculations, extracts, and dashboard design and optimization.
  • Deep understanding of semantic and dimensional modeling for analytics, including star/snowflake schemas and KPI modeling.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or Synapse.
  • Proven ability to run workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into intuitive dashboards and robust semantic models.
  • Nice to have:
Basic awareness of Databricks and Snowflake internals and how ML/LLM outputs can be surfaced through BI tools.
  • Nice to have:
Light Python or R exposure for advanced analytics or integration of statistical/ML models into BI solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills tailored to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Consulting mindset with experience in scoping and estimation for BI and analytics engagements.
