Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Bookkeeper located in Dunwoody, GA.

  • Work under the supervision of the tax accountant for each business
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for small businesses from client data
  • Reconcile bank statements and notify clients of adjustments to their checkbook balances
  • Process payroll checks for some clients
  • Prepare accurate and timely payroll tax deposits, quarterly payroll tax returns and year-end W-2s and 1099s
  • Extra hours are required each January to meet the payroll deadlines and year end financials
  • Prepare Property Tax Returns
  • Prepare sales tax returns
  • Maintain subsidiary records for fixed assets, loan balances and other accounts deemed necessary by the manager
  • Communicate with clients regarding timely and proper reporting and maintain complete and accurate flow sheets of data
  • Return client phone calls and emails on the same day and be courteous. This is your opportunity to build strong relationships
  • Prepare miscellaneous reports for clients as required
  • Prepare monthly practice management reports as required
  • Answer the telephone and share other administrative duties
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Bookkeeping, including maintaining accurate records and processing transactions
  • Knowledge of Financial Statements and the ability to create and analyze financial reports
  • Teachable and follows instructions well
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Previous experience in a professional accounting or bookkeeping role is advantageous
