Senior Technician, Network Operations

Overview- Monitors the Mastercard networking environments to ensure consistently high service levels and meet SLAs.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues.
- Provides routine technical support and maintenance for operations with emphasis on networking technologies.
- Clarifies common customer problems and provides resolutions for simple system failures or degradations according to standard protocols.
- Monitors calls for problems, taking corrective actions to minimize customer impact.
- Creates and updates internal tickets documenting monitoring and recovery steps for the Mastercard Operations Command Center.
- Recommends areas for network enhancements and assists with implementing basic changes within the network environment.
- Supports customer interactions for incident, problem, change and capacity management, and reporting activities for Service Assurance.
- Performs projects and contributes to procedures to ensure operational readiness for OCC employees.
- Experience providing routine to moderately complex technical support and maintenance for networking technologies in an operations environment.
- In-depth understanding of procedures and protocols; can clarify customer problems and resolve system failures accordingly.
- Strong communication skills, successfully interacting with customers to demonstrate problems and solutions.
- Experience recommending basic areasahami for network enhancements for operational and financial value and supporting implementation of improvements.
- Participated in shift turnovers, interpreting escalated issues, and resolving open tier I and II tickets.
- Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices.
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed.
- Report any suspected information security violation or breach.
- Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings per Mastercard guidelines.
