Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NC or compact RN license, Epic experience, and every other weekend coverage.

• Position is in a short-term acute care hospital on a combined Med/Surg and Telemetry unit
• Behavioral health patient population may be included
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5-6
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between like units and to sister campuses as needed
• Uses Epic EMR;
  Epic experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Online modules must be completed pre-start (4-10 hours)
• Maximum of 4 requested days off unless otherwise approved
• Only one holiday request can be approved per contract
• Extensions are limited to twice for night shift staff, after which a 6-month break is required
• Team may include behavioral health cases on the unit

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Return staff must be gone at least 1 year to be eligible
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Pending licenses are not accepted
