Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a NC or compact RN license and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital Emergency Department

• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital

• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Patient ratio is 1:4

• Required to work every other weekend

• Must be willing to float between both campuses within the scope of practice

• Epic EMR system is used and experience is required

• Provide emergency care in a Level III trauma setting as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Royal blue and white scrubs required for shifts

• Floating required between similar units to meet facility needs

• Holiday coverage may be required based on manager discretion

• First-time travelers are accepted

• Assignment extensions only permitted once with a subsequent 6-month break required to return

• Requests for time off are subject to manager's discretion

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at the time of submission

• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room experience required

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIHSS

• Must not reside within a 50-mile radius of facility locations

• Previous staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible

• Pending licenses are not accepted
