We are seeking an Operator to join us at our site in Dunn, NC. You will set up and operate semi-automatic and manual machines, including machine shop and special purpose. Previous direct experience isn't required; training will be provided. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment will be a plus.

We are looking for someone to work 1st or 2nd shift:

There is a shift differential of 10% for 2nd shift.

Responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate a variety of machining operations on standard and specialized machine shop equipment such as lightband lapping, polishing, tool grinding, etc.
• Use a variety of cutting tools including diamond grinding wheels.
• Knowledge of simple algebra and plane geometry.
• Read and understand instructional materials and/or process plans.
• Ensure that route sheets, drawings and other specifications are met on the products produced by performing a first piece inspection.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex mechanical devices.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to read and understand somewhat complicated blueprints and the accumulative effect of tolerances.
• Must be able to set up and operate machinery in the department.

Physical Requirements:

• Must lift up to 35 lbs. infrequently each day.
• Must continuously lift up to 5 lbs.
