Summary First Federal Bank is seeking a team-oriented, experienced Loan Operations Specialist to join our team. Candidate will provide operational support for the execution of daily activities in the Operations Department. General responsibilities include performing a variety of duties in support of all bank loan products including, but not limited to, file maintenance, research, transaction posting, and data entry. Candidate should provide excellent customer service by responding to, and resolving, customer concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
- Book & Image Consumer, Commercial, Mortgage, and Participation loans on the core processing system
- Process Consumer, Commercial, and Mortgage loan modifications, renewals, and extensions
- Process Participation payment disbursements, reporting, and tracking
- Perform loan file maintenance, transaction posting, and documentation reviews
- Process Loan Payoffs, including Escrow Refunds, cancelling liens, deeds of trust, UCCs, Flood and PMI Insurance tracking
- Assist with Escrow Disbursements, Flood and Hazard Insurance Tracking and force-placed insurance
- Review reports and reconcile accounts/general ledgers
- Provide customer service support for other bank staff by answering incoming telephone calls, servicing walk-in customers and responding to written correspondence
- Assume other duties as assigned
- Previous bank Loan Operations/Servicing experience of 2 or more years
- Advanced understanding of banking, particularly lending fundamentals
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Strong customer service skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Objectively handle, process, and secure sensitive information and communications
- Ability to work independently and as a team with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer and keyboard skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, multi-task, and work with other departments as well as external customers to achieve required results
- Ability to work 40 hours per week (as needed) and occasionally on Saturdays
- Prior experience with Fiserv core operating systems is a plus
