Position: Mobile Library Manager/ Driver - Brownlow

Mobile Library Driver - Craigavon Area

Temporary | Full-Time | £15.48 per hour | Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.30pm

We are currently seeking a Mobile Library Driver to join our client's team based in Brownlow, covering the town and surrounding areas. This is a temporary ongoing position with a meaningful community impact.

Overview

As a Mobile Library Driver, you'll be the face of Libraries NI on the road - delivering library services to the public, schools, and community centres. You'll connect with customers of all ages, helping meet both short- and long-term community needs.

Responsibilities
  • Drive and maintain a mobile library vehicle (up to 7.5 tonnes).
  • Ensure all vehicle records and maintenance logs are kept in line with legal requirements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to a diverse range of users including children and older adults.
  • Support the development of library services as part of a front-line team.
Essential Criteria
  • Qualifications & Experience
    :

    • Minimum of two GCE A Levels (or equivalent/higher) plus two years' experience in a customer-facing role within the last seven years, OR
    • Minimum of three years' customer-facing experience within the last nine years.
  • Driving Licence
    :

    • Full UK driving licence permitting driving of vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes (C1 category).
  • Customer Service
    :

    • At least one year's experience delivering services to a diverse customer base in a face-to-face setting.
  • ICT Skills
    :

    • Experience using current ICT systems/applications in an information or learning context.
  • Organisation
    :

    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines.
