Permanent Industry: Heavy Machinery / Capital Equipment Manufacturing A large, well-established machinery manufacturing organisation based in Dungannon is seeking experienced Senior Mechanical and Senior Electrical Design Engineers to join its design and engineering function. These are influential, hands-on leadership roles, combining technical design expertise with team leadership responsibility, supporting the development of complex machinery and engineered systems for global markets.

The Role:

Lead the mechanical or electrical design of complex machinery and systems Produce and review detailed engineering designs, calculations, and specifications Manage, mentor, and develop a team of design engineers Oversee project delivery from concept through to manufacture and commissioning Ensure designs meet performance, safety, regulatory, and quality requirements Work closely with manufacturing, projects, and supply chain teams Support continuous improvement in design standards, processes, and systems Contribute to technical decision-making and design strategy

What We're Looking For:

Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Minimum 5 years' experience in a design engineering role Previous experience managing or leading a design team Background in heavy machinery, capital equipment, or complex manufacturing environments Strong proficiency with relevant CAD and design tools Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture (DFM) Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills What's On
