As a Senior Product and Process Safety Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, shaping the safe design and operation of marine Cargo Handling Systems and Fuel Gas Systems used in transporting and storing liquefied gases such as LNG, LPG, LCO₂ and emerging alternative fuels. This role offers a real impact on advancing safety in global engineering projects while growing your career in a dynamic, future‑focused environment.

• Lead internal and external safety workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL determination and verification.
• Collaborate with New Product Development and Project teams to prioritise safety activities across global programmes.
• Manage documentation and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
• Coordinate training and development for the safety engineering team.
• Oversee direct reports and ensure delivery of safety outputs to project timelines.

• Strong familiarity with IEC 61511 and functional safety systems.
• Proven ability to lead HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA workshops.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders and third parties.
• Proficient in process engineering software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in process safety.

• Degree qualified in Process, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in Process Safety Engineering.
• ICHEME‑accredited or equivalent training in Hazard Study Leadership and SIL Determination.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS security clearance for this role.
