Position: Trainee Perioperative Assistant (annex 21) AA

Position

We are currently looking for a hard‑working, enthusiastic and friendly person to join our dynamic, fast‑paced Day Surgery Theatre Suite as a Trainee Peri‑operative Assistant*.

About the Role

We offer wide and varied surgical specialties that include Maxillo‑Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Urology, Ophthalmology and plastic surgery procedures.

Responsibilities

You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team. Hours will be worked Monday‑Friday with flexibility to work across all sites in Fife. This position will include working within both theatre and recovery.

Training & Induction

There is a robust induction program supported by 3 Clinical Educators and a part‑time Education Coordinator.

Compensation & Working Conditions

It is a part‑time post; salary is pro‑rata. From 1/4/2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. The pay scale in this advert will not change as a result.
