Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Records Appointment Coordinator to join our busy team.

Department

The Health Records Department provides multi-hospital and multi-section comprehensive 24-hour Health Records Service across Fife, incorporating Clinical Coding, Information Management, Inpatient Services, Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, Records Libraries, Scanning, Subject Access Requests, Outpatients, Waiting Times, Overseas Visitor Status and NHS Fife Switchboard.

Role

We require a Part-Time Appointment Coordinator to provide a comprehensive administrative service appointing patients within national and local targets while following the Scottish Government Waiting Times Standard, New Ways, and the Patient Access policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive administrative service appointing patients within national & local targets.
• Follow the Scottish Government Waiting Times Standard, New Ways, and the Patient Access policy.
• Prioritise and manage day-to-day workload in a busy mental challenging environment.
• Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Standard Grade (or equivalent). Good keyboard and typing skills.
• Knowledge of the Patient pathway, 18-week RTT and New Ways.
• Excellent organisational and listening skills.
• Flexible approach to working.
• Good level of English language competency and communication skills.

Experience

• Relevant Outpatient Health Records experience essential.
• Previous Admin / Clerical experience preferable, preferably in a Health Records department.
• Knowledge of GDPR and confidentiality preferred.
