The work undertaken by The James Hutton Group is right at the top of the global agenda tackling problems such as the impact of climate change and threats to food and water security. To support the delivery of our scientific colleagues we have a range of roles. Currently our Research Support team has a vacancy for a Research Support Administrator.
A working knowledge of preparing costings, managing project budgets, project administration, document management and working with databases are essential for this post. Experience working ideally in the Educational or Research related sectors is desirable.
This post will be based in Dundee; there will be a requirement for occasional travel to other Hutton organisation, or business sites.
You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this position.
Main Purpose of JobThe Research Support Administrator will work on relevant aspects of research costings, funding applications, claims submission and financial management of awards, under the guidance of the Research Support Manager and the Research Support Officers, and in collaboration with other Research Support team members, to ensure ongoing administration of the costing and financial management of projects. In the first instance, focus will be on financial and budget management of awards.
