Ruchazie Housing Association – Management Committee Member

Ruchazie Housing Association is a charitable housing association based in the Greater Easterhouse area of Glasgow. We own and manage 226 properties and provide high‑quality housing and community services within some of Scotland’s most deprived areas. We are seeking volunteer members for our Management Committee to help us achieve our vision:
To provide a service that contributes to an attractive, safe, inclusive community where people want to live.

About the Role

The position is voluntary and offers a rewarding way to contribute to the community. You will be involved in key decisions that shape services and improve tenants’ quality of life, receive training, and attend annual conferences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take part in the committee’s key decisions that improve service delivery and living conditions for tenants.
  • Engage in training programmes and new responsibilities as a committee member.
  • Attend the annual mini‑conference and sector seminars to network and learn about key issues.
  • Make a significant contribution to achieving the association’s vision and improving residents’ lives.

Committee Composition

We aim for a representative committee, drawing on the following experience areas:

  • RHA tenants
  • Local residents
  • Finance / risk / audit
  • Development
  • HR
  • Communications
Meetings

Committee meets at least nine times a year; each meeting lasts two hours or less. Preparation requires reviewing reports and papers before each meeting, plus occasional training sessions.
