Overview
Trust Housing Association (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Wishaw) is recruiting a Head of Development & Sustainability to lead a committed and passionate team within the Assets & Sustainability Directorate. The role will deliver our vision of high quality new build homes for social and mid‑market rent, redevelop existing Later Living homes, and drive our sustainability and net‑zero strategy.
Key Information- Salary: £74,140 + car allowance £7,536 per annum (from 1st April 2026)
- Location: Flexible/Hybrid – Edinburgh, Glasgow, Wishaw

- Provide strategic leadership for the development of new homes and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring project delivery at the highest standards of quality, compliance and sustainability.
- Oversee and advance the organisation’s net‑zero strategy, providing energy services that positively impact people and communities.
- Collaborate with the commercial subsidiary T.E.L (Trust Enterprises Limited) and other stakeholder groups to integrate sustainability across the portfolio of just under 4,000 homes.
- Represent the organisation on the Leadership Team, contributing to long‑term strategy and decision‑making.
- Ensure the delivery of a robust development pipeline and the successful completion of high‑quality domestic and later‑living projects.
- Demonstrated experience in housing, development, or sustainability leadership.
- Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- High level of strategic thinking and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, team‑leadership and change‑management abilities.
- Recognition as a legal right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available.
