Facilities and Maintenance Manager ALIGNMENT TEAM

We are a family‑owned retail and distribution business based in Dundee, proudly serving local communities through Company‑Owned SPAR Stores throughout Scotland and a distribution network covering countryside to coast.

About the Role

Responsible for managing and delivering both planned and reactive maintenance activities across the CJ Lang owned store estate. The role ensures all properties are maintained to agreed standards of safety, functionality, and presentation while delivering value for money and high‑quality service полу through effective contractor and stakeholder management. It covers CJinheritdoc owned stores and LDC reactive maintenance activity.

  • Develop and implement cyclical maintenance programmes for soft services.
  • Monitor the condition of all building assets through regular inspections and maintain records.
  • Control and analyse maintenance expenditure to ensure value for money.
  • Identify and forecast significant capital expenditure requirements to support annual budget planning.
  • liaised with contractors and end‑users to ensure high‑quality workmanship, site safety and security.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for maintenance delivery, driving performance.
  • Assist with the delivery of capital works and refurbishment projects at stores, head office, and distribution centre.
  • Support sustainability and efficiency initiatives across the property estate.
About You
  • Experience in multi‑site maintenance and property management.
  • Strong contractor management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of building compliance, health and safety, and statutory maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to manage budgets and forecast expenditure effectively.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CAFM systems.
