Our client a housing association are seeking a part time maintenance caretaker to join their team on a part time basis.
What we offer:
- £13.31 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Holiday pay acrrue
The role:
- To provide a safe and well maintained environment by carrying out general maintenance and caretaking duties in accordance with the needs and expectations of the customer and the business.
- Undertake site reactive repairs and maintenance duties serving as a first point of contact for customers and working in accordance with local and legislative procedures.
- Identify and report any potential maintenance issues which require specialist or contractor attendance to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
- Undertake planned routine works in accordance with site requirements and within relevant regulatory frameworks providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood.
- Assist in undertaking building checks and audits to ensure safe and secure environments for all stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety and emergency procedures and regulations.
- Maintain stock levels to ensure cost effectiveness and availability of supplies and equipment.
- Deliver high quality customer service that meets the changing needs of the business and escalating any shortfalls in service delivery to senior colleagues to ensure they are dealt with appropriately.
- Undertake waste management and cleaning in accordance with the specific site requirements and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records and follow administrative procedures to meet organisational standards.
- Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group’s objectives.
Requirements:
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Practical skill in identifying and /or carrying out repairs.
- Some experience in interpreting written instructions and maintaining simple written records.
- Full UK driving license
- Indate enhanced DBS - Child barring - Or on the updating service.
