We are now looking for an experienced General Manager to lead Hotel Indigo Dundee and Staybridge Suites Dundee, two internationally recognised IHG brands operating side by side in the heart of one of Scotland’s most dynamic cities.

Located in Dundee’s vibrant waterfront district, just moments from the V&A Museum, the city’s creative quarter and the Tay waterfront, Hotel Indigo Dundee and Staybridge Suites Dundee offer two distinct but complementary guest experiences under the IHG umbrella.

Hotel Indigo Dundee is a boutique, design‑led hotel that celebrates the city’s industrial and publishing heritage through bold interiors and locally inspired storytelling. With stylish bedrooms, an energetic restaurant and bar, and a strong connection to Dundee’s cultural scene, it attracts leisure travellers, creatives, and corporate guests looking for something with personality and edge.

Staybridge Suites Dundee provides a premium extended‑stay experience, offering spacious studio and one‑bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens and flexible living space. Designed for longer‑stay business travellers, project teams, and relocating professionals, it blends comfort, community, and consistency in a way that builds loyalty and repeat business.

Together, these two branded hotels create a unique leadership opportunity: a dual‑property operation within a global brand framework, combining boutique lifestyle hospitality with extended‑stay excellence.

We are looking for a General Manager who understands branded environments, thrives within global standards, and knows how to bring brand DNA to life locally. This is a high‑profile role leading two distinct IHG brands under one roof. You will be responsible for driving commercial performance, brand compliance, guest satisfaction, and team engagement across both hotels, ensuring each property delivers on its unique promise while operating as one aligned business.

You will balance strategic leadership with visible, hands‑on presence. From revenue strategy and owner relationships to brand audits and guest experience, you will set the tone for a culture that is performance‑driven, people‑focused, and proudly branded.

Your leadership will ensure that Hotel Indigo tells Dundee’s story authentically and creatively, while Staybridge Suites delivers seamless extended‑stay service that meets and exceeds IHG’s global expectations.

• Take full accountability for the commercial and operational performance of both hotels, driving profitability across rooms, food and beverage, and ancillary revenue streams.
• Ensure full compliance with IHG brand standards, audits, and guest experience metrics, embedding brand culture into every department.
• Lead and inspire a multi‑department team, fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, and pride in representing globally recognised brands.
• Drive revenue growth in partnership with RBH commercial teams and IHG systems, leveraging brand tools, loyalty programmes, and local market intelligence.
• Build strong relationships with ownership, IHG brand representatives, and local corporate partners.
• Champion guest satisfaction and online reputation, ensuring Indigo’s boutique personality and Staybridge’s community‑led ethos are consistently delivered.
• Oversee operational excellence across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and extended‑stay services, ensuring efficiency without compromising experience.
• Position the hotels as leading branded destinations within Dundee’s competitive market, aligning with the city’s regeneration and corporate growth.

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader within a branded hotel environment, ideally with exposure to IHG or other international operators.
