Our client is a friendly, family-run, independent veterinary practice where nursing really means nursing. They are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) who enjoys using their clinical skills, feels confident as a veterinary professional, and values being part of a genuinely supportive and welcoming team. This is an opportunity to join a practice where you are trusted, encouraged to grow, and supported to achieve a healthy work–life balance.

With over 20 years of experience caring for pets, the practice has grown from a single site into a thriving multi-branch group. Despite this growth, a warm, close-knit culture has been maintained, where teamwork, respect and enjoyment at work sit at the heart of everything they do.

Objectives

As an RVN, the successful candidate will be an integral part of a skilled and experienced nursing team, working closely with vets and support staff across the practice. They will contribute to a varied and interesting caseload, with opportunities to rotate between branches and tailor working patterns to suit individual preferences. The role offers excellent scope to develop clinical interests, whether that is consulting, ECC, surgical nursing, behaviour, nutrition or further qualifications.

* Supporting inpatient care, diagnostics and clinical decision-making

* Assisting with anaesthesia, radiography, dental procedures and surgical nursing

* Working collaboratively with vets and colleagues across multiple sites

* Using Schedule 3 freedoms, including minor surgical procedures

* Maintaining high clinical, hygiene and safety standards at all times

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will:

* Be a qualified RVN, newly qualified, or soon-to-qualify (NPL completed and awaiting OSCEs)

* Be passionate about veterinary nursing and delivering excellent patient care

* Enjoy working as part of a close-knit, supportive team

* Have strong communication skills and a positive, proactive approach

* Be keen to develop skills and pursue areas of clinical interest

* Value flexibility, collaboration and a respectful workplace culture

Benefits

Our client offers a competitive and supportive package designed to promote wellbeing, flexibility and career development, including:

* Salary up to £37,125 (pro rata), depending on experience and working pattern

* Paid overtime

* Flexible working options (three-, four- or five-day week)

* Balanced rota with only one in eight weekends

* No routine nights or on-call (a dedicated night team is in place)

* Six weeks’ annual leave, increasing with service

* Funded CPD and certificate support

* Paid RCVS and VDS fees

* Private medical insurance

* Enhanced maternity and paternity pay

* Pension scheme

* Staff discounts and wellbeing perks

* Support with outstanding training costs from a current employer
