Positions- Band 4 Physiotherapy Support Worker Hyper Acute Stroke Unit
- Band 4 Physiotherapy Support Worker Stroke/Neuro Rehabilitation
With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.
We have two exciting opportunities within our Stroke and Neuro Service. We are looking for individuals to join our Neuro and Stroke Inpatient Rehabilitation Team and our Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit
. These roles offer an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist service dedicated to supporting patients recovering from stroke and other neurological conditions, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
- Manage a delegated caseload from a registered physiotherapist and work independently within your scope of practice.
- Assess patient needs, deliver physiotherapy interventions, and modify and progress treatment plans to support timely discharge.
- Provide input across the entire stroke pathway, from early mobilisation and rehabilitation in the hyper-acute phase to inpatient care and community transition.
- Assist with equipment ordering, referrals to community teams, and contribute to audit and data collection.
