We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join the Finance and Procurement Directorate as Finance System Analyst. This post is responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and procedures, within Finance and across the wider University. The role has a focus on improving the efficiency of transactional processing in all areas and ensuring strong financial control.
Your priorities will include:- Assisting in the testing and scoping of new functionality requirements for financial transaction services for the One University finance system.
- Assisting the support of the ongoing review and assessment of the robustness of system-driven financial controls.
- Driving continuous improvement from finance systems and maximise use of functionality.
- Training Finance team members and the wider University in new and adapted functionality.
- Developing and documenting best practice procedures and ensuring consistency of adoption across the Finance team and the wider University.
- Providing support in obtaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the reporting functionality of Finance systems to support the University's business needs.
- Working with other team members to develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement to promote efficiency and make the best use of resources (e.g. system capability).
- Providing ongoing support in resolving system user enquiries and support needs.
- Thorough understanding of systems services and finance processes and controls.
- Accounting knowledge and excellent IT skills.
- A team player with a can-do attitude and appetite for problem solving.
- Commitment to high quality customer service.
