Flood Risk Modeller / Senior Modeller

Access Talent group are currently working with a small and growing Environmental water specialist who are looking for a Flood risk Modeller or Senior Modeller for their team.

This smaller and growing consultancy are leaders in flood, drainage and environmental water specialists. They target the market and are looking for a well‑rounded hydraulic flood modeller for their team. This modeller will be part of a team of four modellers who will work alongside the flood and drainage consultants collaboratively. This opportunity will require someone who is hard working, motivated and flexible.

You will be producing models for Development Infrastructure, Flood defence, Flood mapping projects of varying sizes for clients. As a key member of the team, they will offer training and development to become consultants and find a specialism that you enjoy and can excel in.

These consultants are doing things a little differently with the ability to work fully remotely, setting your own hours, and are currently trailing an unlimited holiday allowance to give everyone the flexibility and freedom to produce the highest standard of work whilst working and take good time off to relax and wind down.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Geography, Environmental Management, or Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years industry experience.
  • The ability to write clear, concise, and technically accurate reports.
  • Experience using hydraulic modelling packages such as Flood Modeller, ESTRY, and TUFLOW.
  • GIS experience using software such as Arc Map, QGIS, or Map Info.
  • Experience in developing hydrological assessments using WINFAP, ReFH2, and FEH statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of the drainage hierarchy and experience in undertaking drainage assessments and design.
