We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and welcome applicants from both experienced teaching assistants and non experienced teaching assistants.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide 1-1 or small group support to children with SEND needs
- Assist in implementing EHCP and personalised plans under the direction of the SENCO and class teacher.
- Support communication and interaction including children who are pre-verbal.
- Support children with personal care needs - including nappy changing
- Support classroom activities to ensure full engagement and full participation for all pupils
- Promote a positive and safe learning environment
- Provide opportunities for developing independence
- Monitor student progress and report back to the class teacher and SENCO
- Communicate effectively with staff members and parents regarding student progress
- Value all pupils as individuals and put them at the heart of everything you do.
- Make learning fun and challenging.
- Be able to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Work in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
- Follow child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality and data protection policies and procedures, reporting any concerns to the appropriate person
