The Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing & Supply Chain Administrator to join our Procurement team. This is a key support role responsible for maintaining accurate product and supplier data, raising purchase orders, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our supply chain activities.
You will act as a central point of contact for the procurement function, liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure orders, data, and processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for the Procurement team, responding to internal and external enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Raise, issue, and track purchase orders, ensuring they are processed in line with agreed supplier terms
- Maintain accurate product and supplier data across key business systems, including costs, codes, specifications, and dimensions
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain order confirmations, delivery updates, availability, and pricing information
- Monitor outstanding orders and proactively resolve day-to-day supply issues
- Support the Procurement and Buying team with administrative and operational tasks as required
- Assist with supplier queries, disputes, and discrepancies in conjunction with Finance
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, data quality, service levels, and cost efficiency
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with large volumes of data
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Clear and confident communicator, able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- Proactive, reliable, and able to remain focused under pressure
- Experience with procure-to-pay processes
- Strong technical aptitude and confidence working across systems
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
- Experience using procurement or purchasing systems (e.g. Sage 50)
- Be part of a supportive and collaborative procurement team
