Part-time instructors teach college-level non-credit courses to students 60+ that focus on Tai Chi, Yoga, Chair Pilates, Zumba Gold, Line Dancing, Lively Drumming, or Water Aerobics.
Classes are offered during the day at Catonsville, Dundalk, Essex, Hunt Valley, and Owings Mills campuses, along with senior centers and retirement communities throughout Baltimore County. Courses are primarily in-person, with some classes conducted via Zoom.
Applicants should be subject matter experts and provide a summary of what they would like to teach, along with the areas of the county where they are willing to work.
Pay rates for non-credit courses in Continuing Education are commensurate with education and experience qualifications.
Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED. An academic degree or professional certification in a related discipline is preferred. Candidates must be subject matter experts and proficient with computers. Experience teaching or training adults and working with diverse populations is preferred.
