The Production Planner is responsible for planning and managing production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and to best utilize the company’s productive capacity within the assigned Customer Fulfillment Unit (CFU). This position works with minimal supervision and must be able to work with people on all organizational levels inside and outside our facility.

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or engineering and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related manufacturing environment required.
• Extensive computer experience working with MS Office; strong Excel skills are required (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas). Proficiency with MS Outlook as well as with an ERP software (Oracle preferred) is required.

• Proficiently and accurately prepares and manages detailed production schedules and status reports to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Releases work orders in the ERP system according to the schedule and prioritizes jobs for production optimization to meet company and financial requirements.
• Monitors the sales backlog for his/her planner code.
• Liaison with OE & Aftermarket teams on loading and lead‑time of all new Sales Orders.
• Sales order entry and management.
• Participates in Project meetings and provides materials availability status.
• Supports on PSI and prepares daily shipping priorities.
• Possesses knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by achieving on‑time deliveries of quality products, follows through special requests and expedites, identifies potential late deliveries and plans recovery.
• Communicates with Projects, Aftermarket, Operations, and Materials departments to smoothly coordinate scheduling changes.
• Creates, maintains, and updates various spreadsheets and system information as needed.
• Performs other duties within the scope of the position which may include quoting lead times for specialty items, document control, creating procedures, or other duties as may be assigned.
• Raises issues to the Operations Manager as needed in a timely manner.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization and enable gaining the respect of cross‑functional organization.
• Highly organized and able to deliver results through others.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
