The Co-op Program includes up to 3 sessions in either the Co-op or internship employment arrangement. For example, the Co-Op typically works 3 alternating semesters or is coordinated to the university academic schedule. Sealed Air has a strong history of successful co-op and internship placements within the organization, increasing your chances of being chosen as a full‑time new hire upon completion of education.
The global Innovation and Development (I&D) leadership team supports this avenue to build our next generation of leaders in science and engineering.
- Plan and conduct laboratory research projects in areas of food, medical, packaging, or protective packaging
- Work with Application Experts in their field
- Participate as a member of a project team
- Present to Leadership Teams at the end of each rotation
Required Qualifications
- Completed at least 1.5 years towards a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university
- 2.5 or higher GPA
- Authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be able to handle and be in direct contact with raw meat and protein products
- Able to provide own transportation to the co‑op location
- Ability to travel to customer locations and work in an industrial environment
- Knowledgeable about general lab and machine shop practices
- Strong hands‑on skills
- Creative and a strong problem solver
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Good written and verbal communication skills
